Sherrie Corleana Jackson was born August 13, 1971 in Enterprise, Alabama to Dorothy A. Jackson.  She was an only child who grew up under the guidance of her grandparents, Ernest and Ruth Jackson. All preceded her in death.

Sherrie (affectionately called “Harry” by family) loved working with her hands and often helped her mom make a living by working on a farm. She became familiar with farm and hunting equipment.  During her earlier childhood, Sherrie was in the Brownie Scouts while attending College Street Elementary and became a member of the Coppinville High School Band. She graduated from Enterprise High School in 1989. She became a member of the Pleasant Shade Missionary Baptist Church at a young age where she was a member until death.

Sherrie’s career path took her in several directions, but she enjoyed the interaction with people while driving the school bus, moving van and long haul trucking. Her passion for helping people and her capacity to share all she owned have helped many in this community. Although she had no biological children of her own, she offered support, love and friendship to both children and adults expecting nothing in return. One of her greatest pleasures was to make people smile and laugh.

Sherrie departed this life on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Flowers  Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. She leaves to mourn her passing: aunts, Bonnie R. (Curtis) Smith, Betty S. Jackson, Janice J. (Jimmy) Horstead, Margie A. (Earl) Jackson and Icylean (Edward) Jackson, all of Enterprise, Alabama; special cousin, Alexander Jackson of Enterprise, Alabama; Foster son, Omar McMath of Ozark, Alabama; a host of relatives, friends and acquaintances; special friend, Roberta Campbell  of Enterprise, Alabama
