Mr. Arthur Lee Simmons was born March 30, 1930 to Mr. Henry and Mrs. Annie Lee Simmons. They moved to Opp, Alabama during his early years.  He later moved to Anderson, Indiana.  After retirement, he returned back to Opp to live.  Two years ago, he moved to Brantley, Alabama and remained there until God called him home.

Arthur was preceded in death by his father, Henry Simmons; his mother, Annie Lee Simmons; brothers, John and Henry Jr; and his son, Nakia Simmons.

Arthur leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted fiancé and caregiver, Ms. Ruby Coleman of Brantley, Alabama, Brinda (Leslie) Sheridan of Enterprise, Alabama, Lenda Hardwick of Acworth, Georgia; daughters, Shelia (Jerome) Jones of Mt. Olive, North Carolina, Anna Donna Simmons of Indianapolis, Indiana, Barbara Currie, Devita Simmons, Monica Simmons, Lee (Rod) Simmons-Burt and Beverly Simmons all of Anderson, Indiana; sons, Arthur Lee Simmons, Jr of Stanford, Connecticut, Tim (Debra) Simmons of Ansonville, North Carolina, Lamar Wendell Simmons of Carlisle, Indiana, Kent (Amy) Harrington, Michael Harrington and A.J. Simmons all of Anderson, Indiana; a host of grand and great-grand children, nephews, nieces and cousins.
