Windell (Knocker) Jackson departed this life on January 05, 2022 at Baptist Health South Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama. She was born to the late, Frank and Rosevell Johnson on May 05, 1949 in New Hope, Alabama. Windell confessed Christ at an early age as a member of Elma Baptist Church. Later in life she united with Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, but returned back to her home church, New Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
Windell was a faithful member to New Salem MBC and New Hope Baptist Church until God called her home. Windell attended Cross Road High School. She was well respected and loved by many throughout Pike County because of her generous and loving nature. She was known by many as a loving, kind, helpful and honest woman that spoke her mind.
Windell was preceeded in death by siblings; Mary Joann Johnson, Willie Frank Johnson and Willie Lee.
Windell leaves to cherish her sweet memories: loving husband; Willie Jackson, Troy, AL, one son; Ricky (Michelle) Moultry, Troy, AL, two daughters; Maxine (Joretta) Moultry, Brundidge, AL, Kimberly (Jimmy) Silas, Troy, Al. One grandchild she raised as her own, LaQuann D Stewart, brothers; Samuel (Pearl) Lee, Chicago, IL, Willie James (Michelle) Johnson, Hartford, AL, Ammie James (Joanne) Johnson, Stewart, FL and Willie Bobben (Mary) Bean, Dothan, AL, two sisters; Willie Pearl ( Eddie Willie) Moultry, Fort Lauderdale, FL, May Dora (Pete) Walker, Enterprise, AL, sister-in-law; Regina Johnson, Brundidge, AL, Lucille (Marvin) Youngblood and Carrie Varnes, brother-in-laws; James (Kathleen) Jackson and Freddie (Connie) Terry, 8 grandchildren; Keyuante Moultry, Sharika Parnell, Marta Moultry, Tatyana Silas, Rikisha Williams, Diakist Johnson, Barbara Johnson and Shemica Johnson, great-grands; Davion Stewart, Camyrn Stewart, Ty’yana Silas, Tynique Silas, Courtney Brassell, Ty’miya Silas, a special God-daughter; Tequile Banks, three special nephews; Issac Parrish and Tyrone Lee and Willie Frank Johnson, one special niece; Kimberly Lee, special friends; Belinda Carlisle, Pamela Hobdy, Carolyn Caldwell, Jerome Ross, Ruby Nae and a host of other great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends
