Ms. Willie Ruth “Sis” Jackson Davis was born September 29th, 1947 to Mr. James Willie Jackson Sr. and Mrs. Ruthie Mae (Glasco) Jackson in Pike County, Alabama, She was one of eight children.
Our beloved Willie Ruth “Sis” departed this life to meet her Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 6th, 2025. She will always be loved, she will be missed, but she will never be forgotten.
At an early age, she joined St. Mark AME Church in Troy Alabama. She left Alabama and moved to Oklahoma. Later she moved to Enterprise Alabama and joined John’s Chapel AME Church where she served faithfully until her health began to deteriorate.
Ruth attended Shelhorn School and graduated from Goshen High School in 1966.
Ruth “Sis” life endless in nature, has now become as indeed it should be, freed from the troubles of a mortal body, subject to sickness, pain, infirmity, and every human limitation – set free to live out its endlessness.
Ruth “Sis” is preceded in death by her mother Ruthie Mae (Glasco) Jackson, her father James Willie Jackson, her sister Minnie Mae Richards, her two brothers James Willie Jr. (Bubba) &Willie James (Deek).
She leaves to cherish her memories: her two daughters: Ursula Davis and Ola (Davis) Russaw of Daleville Alabama; grandchildren: Honesty TaNajjia (Davis) Beat (Todd Lee Beat), Jyciana Davis, Imajia Shipman; two great-grandchildren Joseph Lee Beat and Roy Todd Beat; one brother, Johnny B. (Bettye Anne) Jackson; three sisters: Brenda Mcguder, Mary M. Jackson, and Ruthie Lee (Will) Windsor; she left behind a sweet and devoted cousin, Annie Jewell Jones Allen, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
