Tyrone White Obituary

Our community lost one of our very own on January 25, 2022. Tyrome White was born on December 15, 1967 in Opp, Alabama to the late Jerome White and Alice White. At an early age, Tyrome joined Nazareth Baptist Church where he attended with his family. He received all of his education through Opp City Schools. Shortly after High School, Tyrome joined the Alabama National Guard where he devoted 19 years of service. To know Tyrome, is to know love, wit, humor, and loyalty. If you ever had the pleasure of being in his company, you were blessed with a good time filled with laughter and love. Many knew him as the “Mayor of Opp” and he carried that title with him every day. Tyrome loved his family and when he wasn’t cheering on his beloved Auburn Tigers, you could catch him and Penny on the road to their next destination. We know that the days ahead will be lonely without our “Ty” but we ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers. War Eagle! He was preceded in death by his father Jerome White, Grandparents Carrie and Johnnie Colston, Gladie Mae Henderson; Mother in Law Callie Lane, Sister in law(s) Rachel Wilkerson and Polly Lane; special friends: Leroy Lane, Keith Hines, Reggie Phillips and Calvin Hines. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Tannisha White of Opp,AL; two daughters Rha’Shonda Flowers Griffin of Mississippi and Laqueonna Lane (Jamaal) Opp,AL; son Ty’Keenan (Taylor) White Opp,AL; his Mother Alice White of Opp,AL; brother Freddie (Pam) White of Dozier,AL; and sister Sheena Mount and niece Mar’Niyah Mount of Opp,AL; grandson Keenan White of Opp, AL; three grandkids of Mississippi; his special god-children Lecazuwon Lane and Ja’Kia Lane of Samson, AL and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Special friends: Will Gipps, Zack Tillis, Benji Phillips, and Demetrius Musgrove .
