Sherman Jerome Wilkinson was born to Oscar Wilkinson and Voncille Anderson Wilkinson on September 12, 1957, in Opp Al.

Sherman joined Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He later joined Daleville Christian Fellowship Church where he remained a member until his passing on July 27,2025.

Sherman spent his Childhood in Enterprise Al; He was a proud graduate of Enterprise High school class of 1977 and an all-around Athlete. After Highschool he attended college at Troy State University in Troy Al. In college he played football for Troy and was a proud member of the Troy trojan football team. Sherman continued with his football career by being drafted in the NFL in 1980 by the Denver Broncos where he played until 1984.

Sherman returned home to Enterprise where he became a fireman for the community that he truly loved. He continued his career as a fireman for the city of Enterprise for 28 yrs until his retirement.

Sherman was proceeded in death by his mother Voncille Anderson Wilkinson his father Oscar Wilkinson, His brothers Willie Floyd Wilkinson and Larry Joe Wilkinson.

Sherman leaves to cherish his memory his siblings Mary Jeanette Shumate of Detroit Mi., Carolyn Bryant of Enterprise al., Earnestine Jones of Ozark Al. Benjamine Wilkinson (Gloria) Of Orlando Fl., Janice Wilkinson of Enterprise Al., Jeffery Wilkinson (Sharon) of Buford Ga., Vernon Wilkinson of Pensacola Fl., Sherman also leaves behind His beloved children Marlaun DeAndre Hull (Alicia) of Detroit Mi. Shelia Knight of Miami Fl. and Sherina Agee (Derrick) Of Enterprise Al. His grandchildren Diraun Hull ,Jaques Scott ,and Serrenity Page . A host of nieces and nephews. a bonus son Marcell Cole, God-son Cornelius Boulton, God-brothers Craig T. Goosby, Greg (Bo) Goosby, Robert Smith and Jae Townsend . His best friend Charles Brown (Brock), and his Close friend and, partner and companion Pat Witmer.
