Sandra Neal Miller (AKA “Bay Bay”) passed on May 17, 2021 at Southeast Health Medical Center. She was born in Holly Grove, Arkansas to Jimmie Davenport Sr. and Ellen Marie Strong Davenport. Her father proceeded her in death.
Sandra met and later married L.V. Miller Jr., on July 13, 1978 in Memphis, Tennessee. She joined her husband and they traveled to several states until his military retirement in February 1997, at Fort Rucker, Alabama. She started her Postal Service career in Fairbanks, Alaska. After settling in Alabama, she continued at multiple local Post Offices to include Poplar Head Annex, Enterprise, Daleville, and Ozark until she was called home.
Sandra was a loving mother, devoted wife and very giving friend who helped anyone that reached out to her. She believed in lifting people up when they were down regardless of the circumstances. Momma Miller was always willing to give, while asking for nothing in return. No words can express how much she cared and gave to her family, friends and community. Her joy came from spending time with her family and bringing people together.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Ellen Davenport, her mother; four children, three daughters and one son, Anedra (Shawn) Conlan, of Davis, California, Minnie (Eric) Gaynes, of Tacoma, Washington, L.V. Miller III of Enterprise, Alabama and Loke Miller of Enterprise, Alabama five siblings, Denise Davenport, Clarendon, Arkansas, Eddis Davenport, Inglewood, California, Cheryl Davenport, Kansas City, Missouri; Angela (Anderson) White, Kansas City, Missouri; Jimmie Davenport Jr., Dallas, Texas and a special niece/sister Camerill (Quintin) Clark, Kansas City, Missouri.
