Roy C Allen was born on December 28, 1950 in Pike County, AL to the late A.C Allen and the late Wyonie Johnson. Brother Allen joined Pea River Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where he served as an usher, choir member and devoted church member for many years.
Roy C was a1968 graduate of Warren Smith High School in New Brockton, AL. Roy C worked several jobs to help support his family including Job Corps in 1971, before joining the United States Army. Roy C served his country as a Soldier for many years.
In May 2013, he met and married the love of his life Jocelyn Berry of Andalusia, AL. Roy C was a loving husband, brother, father and devoted Christian until God called him home on January 7, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents A.C Allen and Wyonie Johnson, his daughter Valerie Thornton Allen, his brother Danny Johnson, and his sister Neziel (Judy) Lampley. He is also preeded in death by a special aunt, Vallie Mae Johnson, who raised him after the passing of his mother.
Roy C leaves to cherish his memories: his wife; Jocelyn of 11 years, step-son; Cory Chambers of Enterprise, AL, sister; Shelma (Johnny) Reynolds of Enterprise, AL, brother; Bobby Joe Allen (Veronica) of Atlanta, GA, nieces; Cynthia Allen, Nykema Allen, Aliyah Reynolds, and Stephanie Reynolds, nephews; Bobby Allen Jr., Christopher (Missy) Pruitt, Greg Pruitt, Joseph Sanders, a close friend Jerry Smith, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
