Rosa Carol Bowen Obituary

Rosa Carol Bowen, 73 years old of St. Petersburg, Florida, died at Kindred Hospital on Tuesday February 27, 2024.
She was born in Panama City, FL on December 31st in 1950 to William Valpo West and Julia Mae Bray. She grew up in Enterprise, Alabama along with her Aunt Laura Pryor and Uncle O. C. Pryor.
Carol attended Coppinville Highschool in Enterprise before attending college at Alabama for a short time to enter the workforce. Since then she has lived in Hartford-Connecticut, Jamaica, Daleville-Alabama, and Fort Pierce-Florida. She worked as an employee at Metropolitan, Allstate as a claims adjuster, a clerk typist on Post in Fort Rucker, and as a Home Health Aide.
Carols siblings consisted of 12 brothers and sisters. Her closest siblings nearby include-Mona Lisa West and Joann Lindsey. She had two children Krystalyn Shepherd and Kimberly Starks. She also has 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces/nephews and cousins along with extended family.
Carol met her significant other andpartner James A. Hayes in Daleville, Alabama. They were together for 27 years. They lived in St. Petersburg, Florida until the Lord called her home.
Services will be held on March 23rd at Coleman’s Funeral home Chapel and Graveside Service will follow after at Pea River Missionary Baptist Church in New Brockton, Alabama.
