Mr. Rodney “Dr. Feelgood” Broxton went home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2021, at age 63 .
Mr. Rodney Broxton was born December 25, 1957 in Saginaw, MI to Edward Broxton and Morine Broxton.
Mr. Broxton was a very kind hearted person that truly would give you the shirt off his back . actually all of his clothes. He graduated in 1976 from Saginaw High, his sister Patrice and him started a dance group. Rodney was given the name “Dancing Machine and from 1977-1981 he was in dance competitions in clubs that featured the Gong Show. Later he became a DJ by the name of Dr. “Feelgood”, a name he got from Aretha Franklin in a song she song entitled, “Dr. Feelgood”.
Dr. “Feelgood “,moved to Enterprise AL in 1983 to be with his father and he continued to live there after his father ‘s death. He became known by the state of Alabama as DR. FEELGOOD, a name that will be carried on as the legacy of Mr. Rodney Broxton.
Dr. Feelgood ,is loved by thousands of people and he loved unconditionally thousands and thousands of people. He was a faithful member of New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C..
Dr. Feelgood was preceded in Death by his Parents; Morine Langston and Edward Broxton, Grandparents; Will & Mary Brown, Ida Bell Facin, Benjamin Broxton, his Brothers; Tyrone, Willie Ed, and Benjamin E Broxt;on ,Nephews; Tyrone Broxton Jr. and Corey L. Broxton Jr.
Dr. Feelgood leaves to cherish his legacy: his Wife; Paulette McCloud Broxton and five stepsons; Darren McCloud, Tayquan McCloud, De Shawn McCloud, Shanta McCloud, and Marcur Richardson Norfolk, VA, four sisters; Patrice M Broxton, Grand Rapids, Mi, Valerie Robinson, Belleville, Mi, Barbara (Pastor Rick) Layton, Shreveport LA, Edith (Dwight) Riley, Daleville, AL., three brothers; Keith Broxton, Newark, NJ, Murmon “Ben” Ware Enterprise, AL, Pastor Corey (Junetta) Broxton Sr .Mt. Morris, MI. six granddaughters and five grandsons, two sister in-laws, Shawn Dixon, Boardman, NC, Teretha Broxton, Panama, FL. and a very special friend, Alicia Brothers of Columbus, GA.
He also leaves a host of Dear Family and Friends.
