Richard Lorenzo Neal

Deacon Richard Lorenzo Neal was born May1, 1939 in Enterprise, AL. to the late Leroy and Fannie Neal. Richard was preceded in death by his brothers; Rev. Roosevelt Neal, Thomas Neal and Ulysses Neal, sisters; Cassie James, Dorothy Reid, and Fannie Rainey. Richard joined Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, and accepted Christ at an early age. He truly loved the Lord, and was a faithful member serving as a deacon until his death. Richard lived and extraordinary life and was loved by countless members of the community. he had a huge heart, radiant personality, and was full of fun and laughter. he was well known as a farmer, fisherman, and most certainly as a man always at church. he truly loved attending church functions, being with his children and grandchildren, and drinking Coca-Cola. Richard was  united in holy matrimony to Gussie Mae Coleman on May 19, 1960 and to this union five children were born. she preceded him in death in 1981 on June 16, 1985 he married the late Catherine Caldwell. Cherishing his memory is his children; three daughters; Tina Hargrave (Eric), Susan Franklin (Darrell), and Barbara Alexander all of Enterprise, AL, and David L. Neal (Ruby) of Enterprise, AL. sister; Alveda Reid of Atlanta, GA, Ricard also leaves 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and a host of godchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
