Rena Bass Marson

Rena’ Bass Marson was born on December 29, 1959 in New Brockton, Alabama. Despite her private and shy nature, Rena’ devoted her life to selflessly caring for her family and those around her. She leaves behind countless memories of her loving, humble, and compassionate acts for others. After living much of her life for her children, she was blessed to experience a well-rounded life in her later years; achieving her degree in applied science-office administration, taking on the new challenge of working as an office manager after years spent as a stay-at-home mom, attending community service events, traveling with family, and enjoying newly found interests. Her interests included reading, playing word and puzzle games, listening to music, watching foreign dramas, and catching up with friends and family over long phone calls. Rena passed away on January 17, 2023, at age 63. She was welcomed into heaven’s gates by her parents, Clarece Bass and Patrick Reynolds, and brother, Ron Eric Bass. Rena leaves behind three sisters; Catrina LaDonna Bass, Shana (Craig) Demby of Enterprise, AL, and Detria (Eugene) Bass-Williams of (Decatur, AL), three children; son Rashede (Dominique) Marson (Killeen, TX), daughter TaYanna (Gabriel) Love of New Brockton, AL, and daughter Ariana Marson of Kanagawa, Japan, nine grandchildren; Jailyn Love, Gabriele Love, Jrue Love, Jordan Marson, Jaden Marson, Jensen Marson, Yamari Thomas, Jada Thomas, Rashede Marson II, Madilynn Marson, one goddaughter; Sydni Demby, and several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members.
