Rachel Mae Feagin Sutton Born on January 28, 1948 in River Fall, AL, to the late Emmitt and Zeola (Curry) Feagin. She brought joy, kindness, and laughter to everyone’s lives to whom she came upon.
Rachel accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. She received her formal education from Woodson High School, class of 1969. She also worked at the Alatex in Andalusia, AL for over 20 years. Rachel later in life happily enjoyed watching after her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Rachel Mae Feagin Sutton departed this life on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her son Douglas Devon Sutton. And her siblings, Emmitt Feagin Jr., Juanita (Feagin) Pryor, Joseph Feagin, Wayne Feagin, Curtis Feagin, and William Feagin. Her grandchild Bobby R. Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her memory to her loving and devoted husband Douglas Eugene Sutton; three sons, James Feagin River Fall, AL, Earl Sutton, Dewayne Sutton Andalusia, AL and two daughters, Patricia Sims ,Temple, TX, Victoria (Bobby) Anderson, Red Level. Brothers, Elder Devon (Ann) Feagin, Opp, AL, Winston Feagin, Andalusia, AL, Willie Feagin, Dallas, TX, Rev. Calvin (Stephine) Feagin, Andalusia, AL and Charles Feagin, Enterprise, AL. Sister, Eva (Jeffery) Stallworth, Spring Hill, FL. Like son Marcus Green, Dothan, AL, and like a daughter Carla Curry, Illinois. She has 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one aunt Effie Mae Feagin, LA, CA, four sister in law, Virginia (Clarence) Hogue, Mary Cotton, Panama City, FL, Brenda Feagin, Montgomery, AL, and Louise Feagin Columbus, GA. One brother in law Grady Sutton, Defuniak Springs, FL and one daughter in law Catherine Sutton, Dozier, AL. With a host of nieces and nephews; and close friends, Mattie Freeney, Mamie Griffin, and Lillie Holly.
