Priscilla L Freeney

Ms. Priscilla Loretta Freeney was born on February 27, 1958 in Covington County, Alabama to Rev. Elbert Freeney and Mrs. Alice Faye Tyson Freeney. On June 8, 2026, she was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus, her Lord and Savior whom she loved so much. Ms. Priscilla Loretta Freeney became a member of Mt. Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. There she served faithfully as the Church Contributions Secretary, Missionary Treasurer and a dedicated member of the Mt. Chapel Choir. Loretta sang with The Freeney Sisters Gospel Singers for many years.

 Loretta had a passion for singing and a love for the Lord who she gave her life to and she put her whole heart into her commitment by serving faithfully wherever she was needed. When she sang "Keep the Faith," she encouraged us with the lyrics. "Keep the faith don't give up, you can do it too.. God won't give no man, no more than he can do. Hold your head up high, keep looking to the sky Keep on doing what's right. If joy don't come in the morning, keep the faith, it's bound to come at night."

Ms. Priscilla Loretta Freeney leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Mrs. Alice Faye Freeney three sisters: Dorothy Pearl Tillis, Marcella Freeney, and Dorothy Ann Stoudmire. three brothers: Egbert Freeney, Hubert Freeney, and Albert (DeLisa) Freeney.10 Nieces and Nephews, 24 Great Nieces and Nephews, one Great Great Niece, and a host of Cousins and Friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Rev. Elbert Freeney; a brother, Elbert, Jr.; her sister, Alice Merle Coon; and two brother-
in-laws, Charlie C. Coon and Charlie B. Tillis.
