Mr. Oscar Brooks, Jr. (Little Tank) left this life to accept the eternal blissful promises of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, August 7, 2020. he was born on December 17, 1932 in Enterprise, AL to the late Nancy Robinson Brooks and Oscar Brooks, Sr. he was the youngest of five siblings. Three preceded him in death; Jack Brooks, Earlene Brooks, and Hattie Ruth Allen. He was educated in the Enterprise School System, and later attended AL State University in Montgomery, AL. He joined the United States Army and fulfilled his patriotic duties. Mr. Brooks met and married his beloved Mary (Momma) and moved to Long Beach, California. He was employed at Douglas Aircraft Corporation and retired after 30 plus years. The Brooks family moved back home in 1997 and reunited with the Mount Zion Baptist Church. He proudly served on the Trustee Board. Oscar was an engaged faithful member until his health declined. He loved life and people. He enjoyed cruising through the neighborhood, visiting and relaxing with family and friends, music, attending sports events, and running Brooks Plaza. Mr. Brooks memories will remain with his devoted wife, Mary Brooks, Enterprise, AL; step-son, Franklin Smoots Brooks, Long Beach, California; a brother Bernest Brooks wife (Beatrice) Enterprise, AL. Three sisters-in-law; Lillie Brooks, Swanfear, Illinois, Martha Judd, Enterprise, AL, three brothers-in-law; Shedrich Turner, Floyd Judd, Enterprise, AL, Carl Turner, Montgomery, AL. a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
