Nancy Mary Pipkins was born on August 27, 1945 to the late Daniel R. & Eula Taylor Pipkins. She attended school at the New Hope School in her early years and later received her GED in 1983 in Troy, AL. She was very proud of this accomplishment. In 1962, she was employed at Fruit of the Loom and remained faithful until the plant closed in 1995. She then transitioned to Russell corporation the same year where she served as purchasing and inventory clerk and later was promoted to the accounting department. She remained there until the plant closed in 2006. Nancy decided to retire after this time. Because she was always an active person, she joined The New Hope Senior Center where she enjoyed being with friends, serving lunch, calling bingo, assisting in the office and doing whatever her hands found to do. In 2017, she received a certificate for senior of the month and on May 10, 2019, she was crowned mother of the year at New Hope Senior Center. Her brother John was there to celebrate and support her big day. Nancy enjoyed gardening, fishing and traveling across the United States and Canada. She was a lifelong member of Haw Hill Assembly of God where she served as secretary for over 4o years. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; Daniel and Eula Taylor Pipkins, brothers: James Pipkins and John Pipkins, sisters: Pauline Hallford, Irene Holder and Doris Hughes, one niece: Audrey Lehnerz, Nephews: Junior Sawyer and Pete Walls.
