On the early morning of December 20th 2022 in her home God sent his Angels down to bring Martha to rest and relieve her of all her pain she suffered no more. She was preceded in death by parents: Laura Lee McSwain and Fitzhugh Lee Townsend, two sons: Clay Gasha Townsend and John Lee Townsend Jr. Martha leaves behind her four children: Billy Ray, Vernetta Faye (Huey), Doris (Wayne), Richard (Renee); 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren : two sisters in law: Lillie Mae Livingston and Mable Jean Walker also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends .
