Martha Ann Edwards

Martha Ann Edwards was born April 11, 1948 to the late Brewton and Mae Pearl Henderson. She was united with the Bethlehem Baptist Church at an early age. She departed this life at her residence in Elba, AL on June 11, 2024. Martha worked at Covington and Kleinerts for many years as a seamstress. She was known to many as Cat Woman and was the best to ever coach softball in which she had a team known as “The Nasty Boyz.” She was preceded in death by all her siblings: Annie Siler, Junnie Mae Teague, Annie Lee Campbell, Willie, Charles, Joe and Benjamin Henderson. Left to celebrate her memory are her six children: Glory Edwards, Martha Edwards, Terri Parham, Douglas (Alice) Edwards, Scotty Edwards and Minister Samantha (Deacon Jimmy) Morris. A step son Effriam (Bridgett) Tyson; fifteen grandchildren: Cherrelle Edwards, Chimere (Joseph) Davis, Latyrus (Willie) McClain, Steven Edwards, Daris (Marylin) Edwards, Tyrease Edwards, Larodis Edwards, Sharquarius (Kealvin) Baker, Mercedes Edwards, Shamiyah Edwards, Carrissa Edwards, Anthony (Melissa) Edwards, Jimmy (Nijah) Morris, Channing (Cordeshia) Morris and James (Shymetrica) Morris. She also leaves behind a sister in law Ollie Henderson, a special caregiver and good friend Minister Barbara Hill and a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, relatives and friends
