Obituary

     Marion Clem Smith was born on January  11, 1947 to Otis and Mary Liza Smith. After 5 years of marriage, they were extremely proud and blessed, to have their first of seven children. His parents named him after his grandfathers, Marion(Nettie) Phillips and Clem (Avonia) Smith, all of whom preceded him in death. Marion was affectionately known as TeeBee, Bubba and Charlie by family and close friends . He was known for his hard work ethic, love of fishing and his kind and generous heart. 
    As the oldest son, he was  responsible for the well being of the family, and he cared for the family until the day he was called into the presence of God. He loved to help others, give advice and have a good laugh. During his years of life, he was a resident of South Bay, Florida where he was well-known and admired. He was employed for many years as an Agricultural Processor. His life was a great reflection of his Spirit. 
On March 1, 2020 he was called home to rest in the presence of Our Lord and Saviour. He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Christopher Lee of Phenix City, Alabama.  A devoted sister, Leona (John) Siler of Elba, Al.  Two sisters preceded him in death; Ophelia Smith and Julene Phillips of Elba, AL.  Three brothers; Sammy (Ann) of Opp, AL., Gary (Jacquelyn) of Elba, AL and James A. Smith (Rhonda) of Elba, AL and Des Moines, IA.  One favorite aunt, Mennie M. Washington and uncle Roosevelt Washington, Ocala, Fl., who preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by several aunts; Fannie Mae Knight, Myrtle Alice Lampley, Nettie M. Bickers,  Lurlene Phillips, Annie Mae Miles, Hattie Will Smith, Mary Lee Smith, Johnnie Mae Smith and Marie Smith. Several uncles preceded him in death; Sam Smith, Clem Smith, Fred Smith, Charlie Smith, and Ned Smith. He met the love of his life and they built a family. She (Rebecca Abrams) preceded him in death. One stepdaughter, Lillian Jones of South Bay, Fl., one granddaughter, Felicia Vickers , West Palm Beach, Fl. Three great grandsons; Carlton Benjamin, Dekevius Vereen, and Cia'la Smith , West Palm Beach, Fl. Special nieces; Marsha (Terry), Loretta (Taydron), Lore, Marian, Stephanie (Tommy), Crystal(Renald), Brittany and Keara. Special nephews: Tony Nunn (preceded him in death), Antonio, Demetrius, Jonathan, Kevin(Alka), Vencini, DeMaril, DaRon and James. Special cousin/sister; Helen Russell, special cousins; Dwight Magwood and Rachel 
Moore, a special sister in-law whom he loved, Carlos Folmar. Devoted friends: Clauzell Elliard, John Nelson and Chapman.
