Sister Linda G. Hill was born on January 4th 1957 to the late Robert Coleman and Everett Lee Askew of Elba, AL . She attended school at the Mulberry Heights. At an early age she joined New Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. L.B. Baldwin. In 1976 she later relocated to Boston, M.A., years passed and she relocated again to Rochester N.Y. in 1979 and attended the True Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ under the leadership of Bishop Allmon Bailey, which she was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost.
Many years later she relocated back to her hometown of Elba, AL which she was under the leadership of Bishop E.H. Hill at the True Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ until her death. Linda was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She spent her life helping others and making others laugh and loved cooking for her family. She holds a special place in many hearts. She was a dedicated member of the community.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Coleman, Everette Askew, brother and sister-in-law John and Icylean Askew, sister and brother-in-law Juanita and Jessie Robinson,
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband; Jerry Hill, eight children; Eric (Lykeesa) Hill, Tyron (Natasha) Hill, Sandra (Ben) Thomas, Juanita (Jeremiah) Brown, Jerry Hill Jr., Tamilka (Ryan) Blue, Amber (Michael) Burks, Antonio Hill and her stepson De’Andre Hill, her sisters; Mary (Tommy) Robinson and Mamie Speed, a host of grandkids that she truly loved also her nieces and nephews, sister and bother in laws. Also to her special and loving friends; Dottie Strickland, Deacon Morris “Nephew”. Sis Porter, Mother Sullivan, and Mother McGaw.
