Katrina Marcel Warren was born on November 25, 1968 in Rochester, New York to Katie M. Hall and Burt Moore. She was the fourth child out of six siblings. God said take my hand, come go with me and she cast her burdens upon the Lord, and departed her earthly home for eternal rest on Monday May 24, 2021.
KATRINA accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Bellwood, AL. In later adulthood she rededicated her life and joined the New Summerhill Missionary Baptist Church in Daleville AL. where she remained a member until her untimely death.
KATRINA was affectionately known as “Tina”, “Earnest Tee Bass”, “Hurricane Katrina”, and “WTVY News” to her family and friends. She attended school in the Geneva and Dale County, Alabama, public school systems. In her free time Katrina enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing, braiding hair, spending time with family, and Vintage Soul (Blues) concerts.
KATRINA worked numerous job throughout her lifetime, but her favorite passions was braiding hair and janitorial (housekeeping) services. She took pride in her job and was quick on her feet, which allowed her to perform her work duties effortlessly.
KATRINA was outgoing, fun-loving, compassionate, with a heart of gold and big personality to match. She is best remember for her cheerful smile, laughter, and finding humor in anything & everything. She was jovial, she never met a stranger that she didn’t like and would open her home to anyone that needed somewhere to stay. She is preceded in death by her grandmother: Dutchie L. Sconiers.
KATRINA is survived by two daughters in this life: Shavara L. Warren (Panama City, FL), Lacaitlin S. Warren (Daleville, AL), one grandson: Ceasar “Mason” Martinez (Panama City, FL); her mother: Katie M. Hall-Harper (Daleville, AL). Katrina also leaves behind three loving sisters and two devoted brothers to cherish all their beautiful memories: Linda J. Walker (Daleville, AL), Patricia A. Walker (Daleville, AL), Johnnie E. Walker (Daleville, AL), Tony G. Brown (Enterprise, AL) and LaTonia M. Brown (Ft. Campbell, KY), and longtime significant other: Louis Charles McCray (Daleville, AL). Katrina’s other surviving family members include three uncles, two aunts, and a host of nieces and nephews. Katrina will be fondly remembered by two special friends in the Daleville area: Maria Garcia and Ann Moody. Her memory will also be cherished by other relatives and family friends.
