Katie King was born on June 28, 1970 to the late Will (Doc) Adams and the late Dorothy Jean Moore.
Katie King became a member of Daleville Christian Fellowship Church under the leadership of Archbishop Carl McComb.
Katie transitioned peacefully at her residence on Monday June 8, 2026.She will be remembered for her love, kindness, strength and the many lives she touched through out her journey.
Katie was preceded in death by Roberta Borden whom she affectionally called “ Mother”.
Katie leaves to Cherish two children: Shamarco Moore, Stevanna Thomas; four grandchildren: Bryan Moore, Allan Moore, Blessing Cooper, and Kingston Thomas, one brother David Moore. One sister Valerie Adams, one uncle Seziel Moore of Dayton Beach, FL, two nephews: Michael Thompson and Stephon Moore, special cousins: Rachel Moore, Michael Flourney, Shawn Moore, James Moore, Clinton Lee Adams Jr. Tatrina Albritton, Alesia Borden-Washington, Robert Borden, Teko Dunklin McCoy, and Angela Bailey - Johnson. Special friends Lasanta Moore, Wilma Broomfield, Valerie Hines, Sharon Moultry, Janice Buckhalter, Barbara Johnson, Quartina Trafford, Mary Hines, Mary Burks as well as other family and friends.
