Mrs. Judy Jaqueline (Hill) Logan was born to Christine Chaney and Eddie Hill, Sr., on June 6, 1945, in Florala, Alabama.
Judy grew up in Florala, where she attended and cheered for Covington County Training School. She earned her bachelor's degree from Daniel Payne College in Birmingham, Alabama, and later her master’s degree from Alabama State University.
After college, Judy's passion for children and knowledge led her into the education field. Her first teaching job was in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, during her early 20s. Later, she taught grades K-12 in Samson, Alabama. She finished her academic career teaching at the middle school in Opp, Alabama, where she eventually retired.
Judy Hill married Jennings Logan in 1970 in Andalusia, Alabama, and over time their family grew to include Johnny Logan (Leasa), James Logan, and Michelle Phillips.
Judy will also be remembered by her brother Eddie Hill Jr. (Carolyn) of Enterprise, Alabama. Her niece Triest Logan of Troy, Alabama; her nephews Jonothan Brown (Joi) of Helena, Alabama; Jason Brown (Tara) of Fyffe, Alabama; and Chris Hill of Enterprise, Alabama; and a host of grand and great-grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
