Mother Juanita Askew Robinson was born October 9, 1944 to the late James Solomon and Everett Lee Askew of Elba, Alabama. At a young age she joined New Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. L.B. Baldwin. She later moved her membership to Harris Temple Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Bishop W.T. Harris and was a very faithful member until her health failed her under the leadership of Supt. William K. Ellison.She was preceded it death by her husband Jessie Robinson parents; James and Everett Askew, brother and sister in law John and Icylean Askew, sister-in-law Odessa Robinson, she leaves to cherish her memories a stepdaughter Jessie Mount and family; stepson Jessie (Miranda) Thigpen and children, three sisters; Mary H. (Tommy) Robinson, Mamie Speed, Linda G. (Jerry) Hill, eight brothers-in-law; Andrew (Alene) Bill, Eddie, Freddie, Abraham, Robert, Willie Frank (Sabrina) Robinson, two sisters-in-law; Rena Turner, Mary (James) Coleman and a host of nephews and nieces.
