James Wilson

James Earl Wilson was born December 10, 1948, to the late Jesse and Sarah Wilson. He was united in holy matrimony to Essie Laura Wilson and was married 47 years. To this union he gained a bonus son, Paul Hicks. He was baptized and later received the Holy Ghost in 1976 under the ministry of Evangelist Emma Foster. A few years later he was called into the ministry and in 1986 he became the Pastor of The Church of Jesus Christ where he remained faithful. He was preceded in death by his brother, Albert L. Smith and sister, Minnie Thomas.  Bishop Wilson was called home on Thursday, February 4, 2022, with his wife by his side. He leaves to cherish his memory his bonus son, Paul Hicks, his six brothers: Owen Smith (Cheryl) of Georgia, RZ Smith (Corrine) of New York, Gary Wilson (Shirley) of New York, Larry Wilson (Shun) of Enterprise, Allen, and Robert Wilson of Enterprise, one Sister-in-law; Betty Smith, his church family at the Church of Jesus Christ, a host nieces, nephews, other relatives, saints, and friends.
