James Reynolds

     With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life and legacy of James Reynolds, who departed this life surrounded by the love and memories of family and friends.
Born to the late Annie Ruth Glover and Ward R. Reynolds, he was raised in a loving family and was a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church, where he attended from early childhood.
Throughout his life, he was known for his warm personality, love of laughter, and ability to bring joy to those around him. He enjoyed many things, but dancing and fishing were among his greatest passions. He also spent time as a DJ alongside Raymond Robinson, sharing music and good times with his community.
He leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Lemuel Otha Reynolds (Roberta), Harold Reynolds (Jennie), Charles Fleming (Catherine) and Wendell Reynolds; his sisters, Bertha Diann F. Pope, Annie Laura Reynolds, and Jewelene Reynolds; his very special friend, Essie Mae McGhee; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Ruth Glover and Ward R. Reynolds; his sisters, Sheila Reynolds and Jeanette Reynolds; and his brother, Wilfred Reynolds.
Those who knew him will always remember his sense of humor and the phrase he often shared with everyone: “Hardheaded Joker.” His laughter, kindness, and unique spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved him.
Though he is no longer with us in body, his memory will continue.
