James Lewis Reynolds was born in New Brockton, Alabama on October 16, 1925 to the late Jessie and John H. Reynolds Sr. He was the youngest of four, henceforth he was given the nickname Baby Lewis. Baby Lewis accepted Christ n his life at an early age and attended church at Poplar Springs Baptist Church and later at Springfield Baptist Church in New Brockton, Alabama. he attended schools in New Brockton, Alabama and Quincy, Florida where he graduated from Stevens High School. after leaving New Brockton, Alabama he ventured to Steubenville, Ohio where many family members resided. Years later he moved to Detroit, Michigan following in the footsteps of his 3 older siblings. In Detroit, Baby Lewis obtained employment with Ford Motor Co. until his retirement. After retirement he retuned to his hometown of New Brockton, Alabama. When James became ill his family brought him back to Detroit to care for him. James fathered one son, William Kennedy, of Enterprise Alabama who preceded him in death. Both parents, Jessie and John Sr. Preceded him in death as did his sister, Lorene Maull and his two brothers John Jr. and Joseph Reynolds. His memory will be cherished in the numerous cousins, nieces and nephews that he leaves behind.
