Ida Lee Perkins journey begin October 12, 1932 when she was born to the late, Lee James Summerville and Ester Mary Magalena Beard-Summerville in Steens, MS. Her second birth came when she accepted Christ, at True Zion Church Of God In Christ. Later she met Isiam Perkins, which she married and added seven children to the union. She then joined 15th St COGIC under the leadership of George L Copprue, until his death. She then became under the leadership of Marion Bonner. Later she joined New Beginning under Pastor Brian Brunson & 1st Lady Brunson until her death. Ida graduated from R.H. Hunt in Columbus, MS. and Gibson College in West Point, MS. She retired from United Technology after 37 years of dedicated service. She loved life and never met a stranger of any kind and was loved by all. Ida was preceded in death by her 4 siblings: Roosevelt Summerville, Essie Mae Milo, Willie James Summerville and Roosevelt Summerville, three grand-daughters: Mesha Eddins, Rakia Stewart and Chekita Stewart. She leaves to cherish: 7 children, Brenda Hernandez, Darnell (Jeanette) Perkins, Debora Richardson, Jaffee (Jerry) Eddins, Faye (Micheal) Fripp, Ike Perkins and Sinithia (Charlie) Gordon. She leaves 18 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
