Helen Townsend

Helen Jean Townsend was born Helen Jean Russell on July 9, 1940 to  Bryant Jr.  Presswood and Lillie Pearl Russell and was later adopted by Marlin and Mary Lee Dowling. At a young age she accepted the Lord as her personal savior and joined Triumph Holliness Church. As a young woman she met and married John Henry Townsend and they were blessed with three children Reginal, Mary Kay, and Jae Townsend. she later joined St. Beulah Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a faithful member and usher for years. Her personality, love for the Lord, fishing, children, thrift store shopping, trips to the Florida line, got her known around town pretty quick. When health became a issue she made a temporary move to Austin, TX to live with her son Reginal and daughter in law Delores. In early 2020 she was reunited with Enterprise and the Baptist Hill Community, but called home to be with the Lord July 22, 2020. 
Helen Jean Townsend  is preceded in death by her parents, two siblings and her daughter Mary Kay Phillips. She Leaves to cherish her memories toe loving sons; Regenal ( Delores) Austin Texas and Jae Townsend also, 21 grand children, 34 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren 2 best friends; Fannie Lou Blackmon, Alzie Dees  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friend
