Harold Newton Obituary

Harold Newton, 79, of Enterprise, Alabama (Coffee County), entered eternal rest on March 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, wisdom, and enduring love. He was born in Pulaski Tennessee to the late William Newton and Mildred Phillips Newton, where he graduated Pulaski High School. After graduating high school, he joined The United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He served his country for 20 years before retiring.
In 2012, He was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Linda Shipman Newton. His spiritual foundation remained firm throughout his life. He was baptized at an early age. He faithfully served as a deacon at Light of the World Ministries. He helped take care of his parent in-laws for many years. He enjoyed family vacations, daily road trips, coffee, decorating for holidays, and laughing at family feud. He enjoyed Life and so many things, to name a few. He loved to “Send the Rain to Tennessee” and “Waiting on a Box of Money”. He enjoyed nightly praise and worship for many years. He is known as “POP” to so many people all over town and surrounding areas because he Is 'The Best Pop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Newton and Mildred Newton. His Father and Mother-in-Law, Bishop Fleming Jr and Janary Donaldson Fleming. His sister, Linda Watson, his sister-in-law, Eunice Fleming, his son Micheal Newton and stepson, Heba Shipman.
He leaves to cherish in his memory, his loving wife, Linda Newton ( “HONEY”, “HUN”), His children, Phillip, Yasen, Curtis, Angel, Jeremy, Janary (Mike). His siblings Mary Ann Lee, Sherrell, Sue , Larry( Gloria), Edna (Thomas), Jerome (Margarett), Milton ( Michelle), Reginold ( Cynthia), Steve (Angela). A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. He leaves to cherish in his Memory Amira, Javon and “Melody” his “PUNKIN”. His Special Friends, Bender, Margaret, Johnny, Scott, George.
Harold Wayne Newton, a long life, well lived and deeply loved. A life rooted in God, family, prayer, and service. Though he now rests, his legacy will continue in every life he helped to shape.  The Robe is His, The Crown is His, the song is His and The Faithful Servant has Finished His Race. “Well done, good and faithful servant. Thou hast been faithful over a few things; I will make thee ruler over many things. Enter thou into the joy of the lord.’ (Matthew 25:23)
