Gloria Sue Sowell Hernandez

Gloria "Sue" Hernandez was born June 5, 1954 to the (late) Clayborn and Dorothy Sowell in Opp, Alabama. On May 24, 2022, at the age of 67, Gloria departed her earthly body and made her transition to her final resting place. She was preceded in death by her father Clayborn Sowell, sister Patricia Sowell, and oldest daughter Angelique Jackson.
Gloria battled breast cancer since 2007. She eventually went into remission, and in October  2016 was diagnosed with bone cancer. She fought a long and hard fight to beat cancer. Anybody that came into contact with her always knew that she was loving, caring, kind-hearted, and would do anything in her power to help you. She loved and   cherished her family, especially her grandkids. Her memories will live on and will be cherished by her mother, Dorothy Sowell of Fort Walton Beach; her husband Joe Hernandez of Cordele, GA; her brother Jerry (Stacy) Sowell of Fort Walton Beach, and sister Sheila Sowell both of Fort Walton Beach. Her sons Kameron (Aisha) Lowe of Pensacola, FL and Brandon (Teresa)  Hernandez of Cordele, GA; her daughter Ciji (Dion) Baynard of West End, NC; and 15 grandkids, and 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
