Glenda Sue (Knotts) Daniels passed away unexpectedly in her home Thursday, August 3, 2023. Mrs. Glenda was born August 15, 1947 to Joel and Julia (Mobley) Knotts in Phenix City, Alabama. She was the 10th of 10 children. Funeral Services will be Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 3pm at Westside Baptist Church in Elba, Alabama. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Brother Ken Wilson and Brother Bruce Williams will be officiating. On February 15, 1964 she married her high school sweetheart John Edwin Daniels. He was part of the first football team and she was co-captain of the first cheerleader squad at Zion Chapel High School. She was a poultry grower for 54 years. She enjoyed her flowers, pets, cooking and most of all being “Nana” to Calvin, Jaxon, Benja and Abigail. She was the epitome of love and grace with a heart of gold. A highlight of her day was serving the children at church. She enjoyed sharing a glass of sweet tea with anyone who stopped by to visit.
She is survived by her husband John Edwin Daniels, her daughter Lisa Wade (Ronald), John David Daniels (Kris); grandchildren John Calvin Daniels, Jaxon Wade, Jonathan Wade (Jasmine), Kaley Wade (Ben), Benja Livingston and Abigail Livingston; great grandchildren Piper Wade and Bella Ueltzen and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Joel D. & Julia Mobley Knotts. Brothers - J. D.
