Eveleen Campbell

Eveleen Stoudmire Campbell was born on May 28, 1938 in Covington County, AL to the late Jackie Stoudmire and the late Minnie Florence Hightower. She peacefully transitioned at home on September 14, 2024 surrounded by family. 

Eveleen was preceded in death by her three sisters: Minnie Lee Thigpen, Katherine Edwards, Murle S. Raymond; four brothers: John H. Stoudmire, James Stoudmire, Douglas Stoudmire, and Harvey D. Stoudmire; and two grandchildren: Chris Stoudemire and Hannah Lindsey. 

Eveleen joined Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful member, serving as a deaconess, until her death. She deeply loved her church and her fellow church members. Eveleen was the sweetest woman and had the most caring spirit. Her family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, and watching her soap operas and Hallmark movies. 

Eveleen was happily married to the late Willie Campbell for 39 years. Through their love, they had four children: Nathan Stoudemire of Opp, AL; Shirley (Davy) Lindsey of Opp, AL; Gloria Campbell of Opp, AL; Leonard Campbell of Opp, AL. She was a loving sister to one brother: AZ (Sara Frances) Stoudmire of Elba, AL and one sister: Mae Sue Williams of Denver, CO; three sisters-in-law: Coddie Stoudmire of GA, Ella Mae Stoudmire of Opp, AL and Mary Stoudmire of Opp, AL; one brother-in-law: Willie Raymond of Enterprise, AL. She was a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
