Eva Lee Miller of Elba AL. passed away on Feb. 24, 2023, at the age of 89 at Dale Medical Center in Ozark Alabama. She was born to the late Clinnies and Luverne Walker on June 30, 1933 in Pike County, AL. Eva attended school at Ozark Negro High School in Ozark, AL. and graduated in 1954. She later attended Enterprise Junior College and received a certification in Dietary.
Eva was married to the late Jessie Miller and to this union, 4 children were born: Leon (Annie) Miller, the late Belinda Ordon, the late Larry “Hook” Miller, the late Kecia (Arthurie) Barber. Her 5th child Bernard (Wanda) Miller was born to the late Jesse Snell. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kecia Monique (Arthurie) Barber; her son, Larry “Hook” Miller; her granddaughter, Jamilah “Millie” Miller; and daughter, Belinda Ordon. Her siblings Willie Walker, Macy Montague, Clinnies Walker Jr., Willie Richard, and James Earl.
She leaves to cherish her memories her two sons and their wives, Leon (Annie) Miller and Bernard (Wanda) Miller; her brother, John Walker and two sisters, Esther (FC) Crittenden and Betty Sistrunk; 11 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Two special friends, Eloise Goosby and Helen Thigpen.
She was an honorary mother of Greater New Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully in the Choir and Missionary Ministry until her health began to fail. She was a dedicated employee of Dotties Restaurant in Enterprise, Elba Hospital, Kleinert’s of Elba and Taylor Mill Oaks of Elba Alabama
