Eric Hicks Obituary

Eric Nathaniel Hicks was born on April 30, 1987, to Bridget McGee and Larry Warren.  Eric attended Enterprise High School prior to graduating from Richard Arnold High School in Savannah, Georgia.

Eric also attended The Georgia National Guard YCA in Fort Gordon, Georgia where upon graduation he enlisted in the Georgia National Guard. He would eventually move back to his roots in Enterprise and continue his service with the Army Reserve. Eric was employed with AAA Moving company for many years. He enjoyed meeting new people and the chance to flex his muscles. Eric loved God, his family, community, and friends.

Some of you knew him as Easy E, that nickname hits different now as we remember just how easy it was to be around him.  Eric had a heart of gold. His big smile and infectious laugh could lift the atmosphere of any room and brighten even the darkest of days.

On Friday, October 4, 2024, Eric Nathaniel Hicks joined his loved ones in Heaven.
“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”  II Timothy 4:6-8

Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents Mary L. Hicks, Clarence L. Hornsby, and Glenn Warren; aunts and uncle Brenda Fluellen, Pauline Glover, and Ronnie Warren. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and through the countless memories held dear by, his wife: Keyaira Hicks. His daughters: Love Hicks and True Hicks.  His mother: Bridget (Mark) McGee.  His father: Larry (Debbie)Warren. His brothers: Hector Simmons, Jr., Marcellous Presley, Tony Pearson, Mikey Warren, and Quincey Hatton.  His sisters: Robyn Mcgee, Jaketia Scott, Shameika Presley, and Nikita Warren. His Grand mothers: Carolyn Hornsby and Peggy Warren. His aunts and uncles: Genita(Chris) Johnson, Johnny Flowers, Glenda Baldwin, Pat(Sidney)Greene, Mary Young, and Margaret Diggs, and Henry(Mary)Blocker. His nieces and nephews: Chyna Scott, Monteshia Scott, A'rionah Simmons, Marquis Scott and a host of relatives and friends. A special friend Calleen Bromwell.

Eric's life, though brief, was full of love and meaning. May his soul find peace and may his memory live eternally.
