Elouise Matthews was born on August 4, 1951 to the late Willie Horstead Sr. and Cora Bell White in Coffee County Alabama.
Elouise was introduced to God at an early age and settled in Union Grove with her late husband Major Will Matthews Jr.
Elouise got married to Major Matthews July 17, 1970 and had two daughters the late Jennifer Matthews and the late Shannon McGill. Elouise had many jobs in her adult life but most enjoyed being a housewife supporting and raising her two daughters and two grandkids.
Elouise leaves behind two grandkids: Denzel Neal and Julimaya Matthews; son in law: Terry McGill; siblings: Willie Horstead Jr. Louise Hornsby, Cora Rowe, Jimmy Horstead, late Winfred Horstead, Clarence Horstead, William Horstead, Lewis Horstead, Sharon Horstead, Tina Williams, Barbara Truitt, Angela Foster and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
