Edward Mims was born December 12, 1949, in Coffee County to the late Ola Mae Mims and the late Elow Horstead. He went to rest on June 22, 2022, at the Jackson Hospital, in Montgomery Alabama. He united with the Bethlehem Baptist Church as a young boy, where he remained until his death. He became paralyzed in his early fifties and was admitted into the Troy Health & Rehabilitation Center Nursing Facility in Troy, Alabama. Mr. Mims was 72 years old; he spent his last twenty-one years of life at Troy Health & Rehabilitation until his death. His mother and father preceded him in death, 2 Sisters Mozell Morgan and Judy Wilson and also one son. He leaves to cherish his memories four compassionate sisters and one brother: Ollie (The late Charles) Henderson, Elba, Al., Diane Willams, Miami, Fl., Fanlois (The late Charles) Coon, Opp, Al., Coddie Mae ( The late John Henry) Stoudmire, Marietta, Ga., Robert Earl (Brent) Stoudmire Elba, Al.; Seventeen Niece and Nephews and a host of longtime friends. A Special Thank you to “Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center Nursing Facility” for everything you did for Mr. Mims the past 21 years. You all were a blessing to him and may God blessings be with each of you.
