Demeko Reese Obituary

Demeko Sanchez Reese affectionately known as Meko passed away January 17, 2025 at the age of 48. Born on January 13, 1977 he was the son of the late James Evans and  Erma Jean Byrd. He was born and raised in Enterprise Alabama and attended the Enterprise School System. He had a strong love for his hometown because it was important to him, and it was a place where he could feel at home. His sentimental attachment to Enterprise was due to his family and friends who was still living here, as well as a lot of cherish memories. At an early age, he joined Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend N.L. Robertson, who adopted him as his godson. Meko was a very friendly person with a sweet personality and would do anything for everyone. He worked for many years as a detail technician for numerous companies and a food expediter at Levels. He is proceeded in death by his father, grandparents Lemma C and Unia P. Reese; uncle James C. Reese; aunt Annie M. McNaughton; and niece Jasmine Gray. He is survived by his mother, Erma J. Byrd Enterprise, Alabama; siblings: Preston, Reese, Stoughton MA, Daryl, Reese, Enterprise, Alabama, Angela, Gray, Stephen Brown, Jeff Evans, Greg Evans, Kizzy Greenwood, and Carla Harris, all of Enterprise, Alabama Wille Pearl Green, Enterprise, Alabama, Linda Barnes Marietta, Georgia, Alice (Jesse) Browder, Massachusetts, Shirley Morris, and Brenda Haywood, both of Enterprise Alabama; uncles: Charles, Jimmy and Lamar all of Boston, Massachusetts Anthony and Gordon Evans; two special cousins: Patricia Quicksey and Michael White and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, other    family members and friends. Meko will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
