On Wednesday November 30, 2022 at 7:30 A.M one we loved dearly moved across the threshold of life into a heavenly room we look forward to meeting again. She stepped out of this life into a life of fellowship with the Lord. Delores was a kind, living, compassionate sweet soul who loved the Lord.
Delores Hornsby Williams was born to the late John and Bernice Hornsby of South Florida at the age of sixteen Delores moved to Coffee Springs , AL to live with her father (John and stepmother Rever) and remained until she graduated form Riverside Heights High School in Geneva, AL. After finishing school she decided to go to Pittsburg, PA with her sister Mabel. She later decided to go to Gary Indiana to go to college and get her degree. Later in life she met and married Richard Adams Sr. they were married for a long time into this union one child was born Richard Adams Jr.
After David Williams. They lived in Gary Indiana until retirement. They decide to relocate to Enterprise, AL where they lived until her death.
After relocating to enterprise, Alabama she became a member of Friendship Baptist Church. After sometime she became a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church. She was a loyal and faithful member. She later moved her membership to Pleasant Shade Baptist Church where she was a faithful Christian member, until her illness and death.
She leaves to cherish her memoires; a loving son Richard Adams Jr; two step daughters Daphne Winston of Clearwater, FL, and Divida (Sam) Johnson of Gary Indiana; six deceased brother and sisters, three grandchildren: Imari Lee, Perry Lee of Pittsburg, PA and Semaj Wilkins of Enterprise, AL ; six sisters and three brothers: M.C. Hornsby of New York, New York, Marilyn (Larry) Hadley of Slocomb, AL, Ruth A. Lindsey of Chancellor, AL; Jacob (Ola) Hornsby of Geneva, AL, Rebecca Hornsby of Hartford, AL, Ulondia (Jasper) Miller of Slocomb, AL, Johnny F. Hornsby of Dothan, AL, Revonnia Hornsby of Slocomb, AL, LaFrances (Will) Craig of Dothan, AL; two very special nieces: Nethina Hornsby Lee of Pittsburg, PA, Crystal Grooms of Faydett, AL and two sister in laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Delores is at peace with God and rejoicing in her heavenly home
