Curtis A Thomas

On Friday May 29, 2020 Curtis Angelo Thomas departed this life to enter into eternal rest. Curtis Age 61 was born to Bernice Thomas-Smith and Alfred Surles in Rockaway Beach, New York. Curtis graduated from Newtown High School, East Elmhurst, New York, June 1977. Curtis was baptized and grew up from a young age in the Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, Corona, N.Y. He enlisted in US Army November 29, 1977 and Honorable Discharged July 28 1981. He moved to Alabama with favorite Aunt Betty Sue Thomas-Sowell in 2004, where he reside until his death. Curtis was energetic and full of life. Growing up he loved music. Curtis was preceded in death by his favorite Aunt/Caregiver Mrs. Betty Sue Thomas-Sowell. Curtis leave to cherish his Mother Bernice Thomas-Smith, Conyers, GA., his Sister Bernadette Snyder, Conyers, GA and one nephew Jonathan L. Thomas  Conyers, GA. One uncle Mr. Claybon Sowell, New Brockton, Ala. Favorite cousins Rose Thomas, Marcus Thomas, Hempstead New York and Henrietta Thomas, Enterprise, Ala.  A host of other cousins and friends.
