Connie Sue Caldwell Buckley was born on November 3, 1961, in Opp, AL to Annie Jewel Caldwell and Willie Henderson. She was raised by her maternal grandparents the late Lorenzo and Johnnie Mae Caldwell in Florala, AL. Connie attended and graduated in 1980 from Florala High School. Shortly after graduating she gave birth to her first born James Vinson Flowers. In 1986 she began her job at Florala Memorial Hospital as a supervisor of housekeeping. She loved her job and remained there for 26 years until its closing. Connie continued her first love of work and true calling which was taking care of people. She worked as a caregiver until she fell ill with cancer in 2020. After surgery and treatment Connie was determined to get back to work and that she did. She worked off and on caring for people until God called her home.
Connie is preceded in death by Willie Henderson (Clara Mae Henderson), Quendell Henderson, and James Vinson Flowers,
Connie was an extremely loving and caring person. She never met a stranger and loved to talk, cook and clean. She would do anything for anyone. Connie was extremely loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Connie leaves behind her three living children Felycia Reese (Cedric Reese) Ishmael Buckley and Olivia Hobbs-Austin (Johnathan Austin) 10 living grandchildren: Alezavia Bryant, Vinson Flowers Zacchaeus Reese, Brianna Reese, Nikko Bradberry, Brooklyn Bradberry, Gracelynn Hobbs, Zyion Hobbs, I’Khyleigh Buckley, Khyler Foster, I’Kylee Buckley, two great grandchildren: Kyree Flowers and Zoiriana Reese, (Tinker Bell). Connie also leaves behind five livings sisters, three living brothers, special friend: Lorene Thompson and great host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
