Charles Coon was born on 2/1/1954 and passed away on 6/23/2020.Survived by his children Amy D Coon, Sarah Bowman (Brad), Richard Coon and Brandy Brannon, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.His sister Dorothy ‘Penny’ Daniels (Dan), brother John A Coon (Ann) his special friend Mame Conyers and several nieces and nephews.Charles was preceded in death by his father and Mother Garfield and Gladys Coon, Brothers Clenon Coon and Willie Coon.Throughout his life Charles was known to be very generous, kind and patient.Charles taught Drafting at MacArthur/LBW for many years and was welcomed into retirement by his former colleagues. Even to this day many of Charles’ former students will often say he made such a huge impact on their lives and they owe many thanks to him.Charles was also a very talented artist and would give chalk talks at church. He would pull out art chalk and draw a scene from the Bible while giving a Bible lesson.Charles won many awards for his art but refused to sell pieces.He was generous and just wanted to share his work and would often gift them to family and friends.
