Mrs. Carrie Lee Reynolds, was born December 12, 1912, was the ninth of ten children born to the late Tom and Mary Harris of New Brockton. Nine siblings preceded her in death.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Greater Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained faithful for more than eighty-three years. In recent years she was always recognized during Church Anniversary as the oldest member. When she was able, sister Carrie was a very active church member. She served as Sunday school teacher, usher, matron and missionary, and the Ladies Aid Society. Sister Carrie Harris Reynolds was the wife of the late James (Cute) Reynolds and the proud mother of four children; one preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her love and memories three children: Gwendolyn McKee, Arverne NY; Perry (Marion) Reynolds, Bettendorf, IA; Jacqueline (Jerry) Miller, Montgomery, AL. she also leaves to mourn one sister-in-law, Nobie Rayborn, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, ten great– great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
