Mrs. Carolyn Jean Beasley Martin was born on July 28, 1949 to the late Bernice Coleman Capkers and Sam Beasley. She left her earthly home on Sunday, January 31, 2026 at Flowers Hospital.
Carolyn married the love of her life, Mr. James William Martin on August 29, 1975. This union was blessed with three children. She was a member of Greater New Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she received Christ at an early age.
Carolyn never judged anyone she came across. A woman full of steady kindness; she had a presence that made you feel safe just being yourself. The people around her gave her joy. If you were ever in her home on Saturday, you would’ve been present for her routine of cleaning the house while listening to Betty Wright. Always playing “No Pain, No Gain”. Her unwavering care, generosity and quiet strength undoubtedly touched everyone around her. Carolyn loved family, friends, fishing and playing cards(spades). She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and community.
Those that are left to cherish her memories and forever hold her in their hearts: her husband of 51 years, James William Martin. Three Children, Deloris Martin, Keith Martin and Eric Martin. Her nine wonderful grandchildren and two beautiful great grandchildren. One Aunt, Vernella Carmichael and a host of cousins and friends. Her best friend Pearlie Cole.
