Betty Jean Bush, 77 of Enterprise, Alabama departed this life on October 5, 2022. Betty was the 7th of 8 children born to Rufus and Lula Mae Townsend on January 4, 1945. She received her education in the Enterprise Public School System. Betty was a great cook. Always making sure her children had a full course meal when they got home from school. She had the ability to take something small & make it grand. Betty Jean was loving, very meek & very mild. But one thing for sure she would get spicy when it came to the people she loved. She was preceded in death by both her parents Rufus & Lula Mae Townsend; siblings Robert Townsend, John William Townsend, J. B. Townsend, Nettie Bell Knight, Ruthie Mae Williams & Billy Townsend. She leaves to mourn her only surviving sibling Fannie Lou Blackmon; daughters April Benson, Ylonda Reynolds (Rashawn Reynolds), Sonya Lockhart (John Henry Lockhart) & one son; John Aaron Benson Jr. who she affectionately called JuneBug. There are 16 grandchildren. Roshaun, Antwan Jerry & Kadesha. Courtney (Ron), Troy, Shanté, Tierra (Clay), Jordan, Christopher, Antonio, Rashawn Jr., Niya, Dahliyah (Mark), De’Andray, and Iyanna; 16 great grandchildren: Quincy, McKinley, Charlotte, Clay Jr., Antwan Jr., Ashton, Langston, Gabby, Shiloh, Kobé, Larry, Jaydean, Zy’Kierua, Damarion, Tanyaih, and Taliayah. Betty Jean had a host of nieces & nephews. Also some good friends & family in her life who she cherished dearly. To many to name. Betty loved you all dearly.
