Mr. Ben Frank Williams was born on July 2, 1938 in Coffee county to the late Ruby Grace and Bill Frank Williams. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Flowers Hospital, when the Lord called his name and he answered. At an early age he was baptized. He attended church with his family at Elba Zion MBC, Rocky Head MBC, and Harris Temple COGIC which became their permanent place of worship. He remained a faithful member of Harris Temple until his health began to fail. Ben was the contractor who remodeled the beautiful sanctuary of Harris Temple COGIC. He attended Mulberry Heights Colored School. After completing high school, Ben joined the Air Force. After his time spent in the Air Force he moved to New York and lived there many years. While in New York, he barbered and owned his Barber Shop until April 2007 before relocating to his hometown of Elba, Alabama. One of his enjoyments included playing checkers with his friends. Ben was preceded in death by his parents Ruby and Bill Frank Williams, brother: Thomas Edwin Williams, and sister: Mae Kathryn Atcherson, and son Christopher Williams. Warm and loving memories will be forever cherished by his six children: John Larry (Tina) Chism, Michael (Kenisha) Williams, Saundra (Mario) Bullard, Bridgette (Perry) Herbert, Anya (Terry) Campbell, and Stephon Williams. Two loving sisters: Dr. Ruby H. Ellison and Evangelist Rosa L. Coleman, one loving brother: Deacon Robert Earl Williams. His pride and joy twelve grandchildren and twenty - two great-grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish a host of devoted nieces, nephews, family and friends.
