Annie L. Jenkins was born on June 21, 1942, in Evergreen,
Alabama, to the late James and Annie Lois Jenkins. She departed
this life peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Jackson
Memorial Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama. Annie attended
Woodson High School in Andalusia, Alabama, where she cultivated
love for people and built lifelong friendships. while living in
Andalusia, she was a devoted member of St. Peter’s Baptist Church.
Driven by a spirit of adventure and a desire for new opportunities,
Annie moved to Pennsylvania, where she would spend the next 45
years building a life filled with service, music, and fellowship. She
became an active member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, lending her
voice to the choir and her grace to the Usher Board. In 2013, Annie
moved to Montgomery, Alabama. Her days were filled with simple
pleasures listening to gospel music, creating arts and crafts, and
sharing stories that reflected her wisdom and humor. Annie was
preceded in death by her parents, James and Annie Lois Jenkins,
and her siblings: Willie Ray Jenkins, Daisy Jenkins, Earl Jenkins,
Diane Jenkins, Frank Jenkins, Jannie Jones, and Eugene Jenkins.
She leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her life; Obediah
(Gloria deceased) Jenkins, Enterprise, AL, Mary (Grover) Hatten ,
Montgomery, AL, Willie (Cynthia) Jenkins ,Pittsburgh, PA, Bessie
Jenkins, Newark, NJ, Eddie Jones , Milwaukee, WI, Edith (Earl
deceased) Campbell, Elba, AL, Charles (Terri) Jenkins,
Montgomery, AL, Ellen Jenkins , Montgomery, AL, Eugene
Jenkins-deceased (Louise) Gautier, MS, A devoted cousin, JoAnne
Smith of Greenville, AL, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives,
and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
