Angela Casper Obituary

Reflections of Life

“I have fought a good fight I have finished my course; I have kept the faith.  2 Timothy 4:7

Mrs. Angela “Byrd” Casper was born 50 years ago to Mary Ann and the late Ben Ray Deetion. She was reared in a happy home where love abound.  She united with the Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist church and was baptized at an early age under the inspired leadership of Dr. John L. Grayer, Pastor. She was actively involved and concerned with her church.  Her dedication and unselfish work in various church ministries reflected her caring and concern for her church.  She served faithfully in the Young Adult Choir, Matron, Usher and missionary society ministries.  She also served as the youth director, kitchen committee and janitorial staff.  During her illness she leaned heavily on the Lord, calling upon him to help bear the pain, when many times she could have called upon loved ones.

She was a graduate of the Coffee County Secondary School System New Brockton, Alabama. She received a Bachelor of Science and Master degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Troy University, Troy Alabama.  She was employed with Southern Property Management of Birmingham, Alabama.

Angela was preceded in death by her father Ben Ray Deetion and brother Kenneth Ray Deetion. *** (if needed correcting)
