Alice Thigpen

Ms. Alice Clara Thigpen was born on August 8,1945 to the late Beter and Evelyn Thigpen. She joined Elba Zion Missionary Baptist church at an early age where she served on the usher board until she could no longer stand guard in the lord’s house. She remained a faithful member until her passing. Alice is preceded in death by her parents, all of her sisters and bothers, and two grandchildren: Marquindale Thigpen and Jabari Cole. 

Alice attended school in the Mulberry Heights Community until she left to help take care of her father and her siblings. While attending school, she played her favorite sport, basketball and was very good at hit. She also love to watch baseball (Atlanta braves), wrestling, and football (roll tide roll) on television as a pastime. 
 
She leaves to cherish her life and legacy six children and two bonus children: Stacey (Richard) Lawrence, Elba al; Clarissa (Darren) McElroy, Dothan al; Kevin (Dionna) Thigpen, Athens al; Ronald (tiffany) Thigpen, corpus Christi Tx; Vincent Thigpen, enterprise al; derrick Thigpen, Elba al; Greg (Melissa) Thigpen; Madison Al; and jessie (Miranda) Thigpen, Elba al. She has 18 grandchildren and bonus grandchildren; Tunisia, Lafondra, Khalil, Zoriah, Kiswana, Kendall, Cordney, Princess, Kia, Cornell, Ryleigh, Daylan, Zarion, Jaceyon, Mariyion, Jamari, Jasmine, and Geno. She also leaves loved beyond measure 16 great grandchildren: Amir, Ny’asia, Amiiyah, Kylan, Jha’cari, Kymani, Nakhia, Me’ziyon, Jekaylii, Kenji, Promise, Legend, Jiriyiah, Djhona, Dariya, and Carter; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; two very special close friends: Ms. Pat Coleman and Renee Mitchell.
