Willie J. Whaley was born September 25, 1954 in Brundidge, AL to the late James and Luizer Whaley. He was the third of four children.
Wille J was educated through the Chicago Public School system. He had a passion for truck driving. Willie was employed by Lane Ice Company and Marks Movers for many years. Willie J was a security guard and bounty hunter until his untimely death. Willie joined New Salem Baptist Church at a young age. In 2002 Willie moved back to Alabama where he met his wife Sharlene Whaley. When he saw her it was love at first sight. They married in November of 2002. Sharlene preceded him in death.
On Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 10:05 A.M. God called Wille J. Whaley home and said “Well done thy good and faithful servant”.
Wille J leaves to cherish his precious memory five sons; Willie “Mookie” Whaley, Shanga “Lenear” Walker, James Whaley, Willie “Junior” Whaley and Neil Daniels, five daughters; Tracey Whaley, Tamika Walker, Crystal Boyd, Kenya Whaley and Keeshia Daniels, fifteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters; Pensy (Thomas) Brown, Annie (Kenneth) Hooks, Julie (Darnell) Williams, one aunt; Inez Moultry, one uncle; Tom (Pearl) Lee, a very special friend Ira Jean Liptrot and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was pops to Kenyia, Kendrick Wilder, Keithfus and Kendra Carter, pawpaw to Cemeyia (Lulue) and Zyla.
